Stephanie M. Wright, DO, FACOG is the physician and owner of Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology of the Rocky Mountains, PC. She first developed an interest in the health care needs of young women as a college student while volunteering with Rotary International’s Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) girl’s camp for high school juniors and seniors. During this time, it became evident that many young women lacked essential knowledge about self-care and the unique functions of their bodies.
Education and Military Service
After college, Dr. Wright set her sights on becoming a Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecologist. She attended medical school at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri—now known as the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. During medical school, she joined the United States Air Force. She completed her internship at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in Northern California and her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California-Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California.
Following her training, she served an additional three years of active duty as a staff OB/GYN at Malcolm Grow Medical Center at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington, DC.
Specialized Training
In the summer of 2011, Dr. Wright left the military to pursue further specialization in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, one of the leading children’s hospitals in the United States. During her fellowship, she gained experience in treating complex congenital anomalies through the hospital’s renowned Colorectal Center, which collaborates across Pediatric Surgery, Urology, and Gynecology.
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital is one of only fifteen hospitals in the U.S. offering advanced training in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology to physicians trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Board Certification and Community Involvement
Dr. Wright is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology with a subspecialty in Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology recognized by the American Board of OB/GYN. She strives to be both an educational resource and a compassionate supporter for her patients, fostering health and confidence in young women across Colorado.
